Pillar Jib Crane Installation Steps and Precautions

Pillar jib cranes combined with highly reliable electric chain hoists are especially suitable for short-distance, frequently used, intensive lifting operations. They are widely used because of their high efficiency, energy saving, trouble-saving, small footprint, and easy operation and maintenance.

Crane equipment also needs maintenance in the process of use. The maintenance of cranes should start from six aspects, namely, sufficient oil, sufficient water, sufficient air, and frequent inspection of fastening parts. The following is a detailed introduction to the maintenance measures and classification of pillar jib crane equipment.

Installation steps of column-type cantilever crane

Installation of pillar jib crane columns

Insert the columns into the inner ring of the base plate, weld and fix the base plate and the columns on both sides of the base plate, and then weld a number of ribs to the base plate and columns to complete the installation of the column cantilever suspension base plate.

Installation of the end plate and waist track: Adjust the position of the column crane's rotating shaft and the end plate and then weld and fix them to ensure the verticality of the rotating shaft. Then put the end plate into the column and weld and fix it with the column according to the drawing size. Insert the waist rail into the column, adjust the corresponding position according to the drawing size, and then weld and fix it with the column to complete the installation.

Installation of the pillar jib crane rotary sleeve

Weld and fix the bearing seat and the rotary sleeve through the connecting plate according to the drawing size, press in the spherical roller bearing, and then seal the left side of the rotary sleeve with the bearing pressure plate. The sealing plate connection plate is welded on the right side of the rotary drum, and the sealing plate is connected by bolts. During on-site installation, the sealing plate is removed, and a current collecting device is installed inside the rotary sleeve. After the internal parts of the column cantilever crane's rotary sleeve are installed, install the sealing plate to complete the installation.

Installation of the pillar jib crane bracket

Weld the shaft to the motor mounting plate, install the main wheel and auxiliary wheel, and then weld and fix the square tube, trapezoidal plate, and steel plate according to the drawing size. According to the drawing size, weld the bracket to the cantilever to complete the installation.

On-site installation of the complete column cantilever crane

Remove the round nut on the column, fix the cantilever on the column through the rotating shaft and waist track, then install the round nut on the rotating shaft from inside the slewing device, and then install the set in sequence. Electric ring and locking polyurethane nut. The round cable passes through the inside of the column and comes out through the center hole of the rotating shaft. The power enters the slip ring slewing device. A slip ring bracket and a carbon brush are installed inside. The end of the carbon brush is connected to the cable. The power is drawn from the middle of the slewing device. Control cabinet, through the contactor switch in the electric control cabinet, connect the cable to the slewing device to run the motor and lift the electric reed and finish installation.

Precautions for installation of pillar jib crane

Pillar jib cranes combined with highly reliable electric chain hoists are especially suitable for short-distance, frequently used, intensive lifting operations. They are widely used because of their high efficiency, energy saving, trouble-saving, small footprint, and easy operation and maintenance. However, you must be particularly careful when installing and using it. Improper installation and use methods may affect the construction period and cause accidents. So what issues should you pay attention to when installing and using a jib crane?

1. When installing the cantilever crane, you must ensure its performance and quality. Do not start installation when the strength of the concrete is not high in order to shorten the construction period, because it may cause the load-bearing capacity of the cantilever crane to exceed the ground stress. restrictions, resulting in weak concrete and unfortunate accidents such as collapse and overturning.

2. When installing the cantilever crane, you must confirm that the column is installed vertically, and the verticality should be checked from different directions. The floor must be flat and free of debris. If the floor is paved with tiles, a suitable layer of cloth must be added to increase friction with the ground.

3. The nut fixing the screw cylinder must be tightened. Commonly used hook wrenches are generally not strong enough. It is recommended to extend a round pipe in front of the hook wrench. Always check whether the nut is loose during lifting. The installation position of the rotating arm on the column cannot be too high or too low. If it is too high or too low, it will reduce the load-bearing capacity of the column and lead to the inversion of the pole. It is recommended that the angle between the inclined arm and the column be within 45 degrees. The angle increases the moment arm and the load-bearing capacity of the column increases. The rotating arm is placed on the column to ensure flexible rotation and appropriate grease can be added. If the pole is deformed, it should be replaced as soon as possible.
